Microblading or brow embroidery involves using a small, sharp instrument of 9-16 fine needles configured into a blade shape to deposit pigment into the skin. Once the cuts have been made, pigment is left on the skin for several minutes and the anaesthetic  then applied making the rest of the treatment virtually painless.

Nano needling or micropigmentation, uses a super nano needle. Since the needle sits approximately 0.75mm  it is easier to apply the precise pressure to create the perfect crisp hair strokes. Thus, it tends to be a much cleaner process. The very tip of the needle is dipped into the pigment and makes a fine stroke. It is then dispensed gradually from the needle into the skin, allowing for a controlled movement.

Nano needles are fascinating as they are the size of a hair and flexible. In essence they can be used to draw to replicate a real hair in the skin with minimum trauma. The can be sizes such as .17; .18; .16  for fine wispy hairs.

WE LOVE these needles because even for heavier handed techs it is almost impossible to cause any real damage to the skin or to implant the mineral pigment too deep which is where many techs who don’t naturally have the magic touch can go wrong.

Micro Blades give exactly the same result but the risk of injury to the skin is much higher. There are few true artists who can MB beautifully to achieve this really natural effect of hairstrokes like our Artist Olga. The tool we use to introduce the pigment into the skin is different in Nano vs Microblading.

Also, in the healed results, pigment retention is much greater in Nano brows vs Microbladed brows.

They are both hair stroke technics, but with nano we have a lot more precision because it’s a ‘one point’ starting point. You can also shade in between the hair strokes to give a more soft appearance. With Nano, we can be a lot more creative and go beyond simple hair strokes to obtain natural healed results.

Both methods give the client "Hair Illusions".

Both methods use pigment(s) rather than ink.

Nano needling and microblading allow us to create the perfect brow taking into consideration desired shape, colour, thickness, and arch to create the perfect brow for YOU.

Both treatments allow us to custom create the colour that compliments your facial features.

Both methods allow the pigment to fade slowly over a period of time.
Once treatments are complete, the implanted strokes appear fine and realistic in both procedures.
Nano needling strokes do over time have a greater rate of remaining crisp and clear.
There is no doubt that, currently, the fashion is for extremely life-like brows which both nano needing and microblading offer.
Nano needling treatments are deposited more evenly into the skin.

The nano needling technique is a much cleaner process than microblading.

Procedures using nano needling last longer and should only require a colour boost after 12 months
